Our Program

The Studio

Our program is an Athletic Recovery Training System. We use the principles of  sport training in the recovery of people with Spinal cord injuries and other disabilities. The training is design to change the physical and mental state of the client. To integrate the client back into the community as fast as possible with the skills and strength needed to perform the daily task of life.

At Mobility Fitness Studio our program is a Three phase training program:

Phase 1: Basic Strength training occurs during this period. The client is working on general conditioning, muscle balance, proper exercising techniques and mental attitude.  The goal of this phase is to build a strong fitness base.

Phase 2: Maximal Strength & Endurance in this period the client will be working on neuromuscular adaptations. Workouts become more explosive in nature and high in muscular endurance. In this phase the strength and endurance gains will make the everyday activities much easier to perform.

Phase 3: Competition in this period adoptive sports are introduced into the recovery training program. The client will be coached in the fundamentals, rules and sportsmanship to compete on all levels of sports. This phase is designed to build self-esteem and confidence needed to over come a life changing experience.

Active recovery is an important part of the Athletic Recovery Training System.  Active recovery allows the client too physically and psychologically to recover from the stresses of training and competing while still maintaining fitness levels. We use active recovery during and between each phase of training.
